Tammie Hetrick

President & CEO

Tammie Hetrick is the President and CEO at the Washington Food Industry Association and has devoted the past 25 years of her career to association leadership and human resource management.  She has received her Institute for Organization Management (IOM) from the US Chamber of Commerce and the Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).  

Aside from her legislative work on labor issues, Tammie sits on several committees protecting member interests with the Department of Labor & Industries and the Employment Security Department.  Tammie has been providing outreach and education to retail businesses for over 25 years.  

Tammie’s background also includes over 30 years in workers’ compensation management.  Her diverse skills and background have been a great fit for the association and the services we provide to our members.  Tammie was born and grew up in Graham, Washington.  She and her husband, Scott Hetrick lived in Olympia for over 25 years and recently moved to the country again.  They have two wonderful children and a grandchild on the way.
